Moleskine: Debossing and How Custom Editions Are Made

Moleskine serve up a behind-the-scenes look into the stationery brand’s approach to how their custom notebooks are made. The process to debossing includes how the tooling is made and how the dry printing process allows Moleskine to apply graphics to their covers. The way in which it works is a metal die with an image is first heated and pressed and subsequently a colored foil or silk screen ink is placed on top to complete the debossing.
